Make Mysteries, Keep the PVE alive
I miss the days of exploring for the sake of fascination, not for a title. I remember finding Rotscale and the cutscene area where the Scepter of Orr was and thinking that it was incredible to find such a thing. Random places like Dragon's Gullet, Dreadnought's Drift, The Falls, Majesty's Rest, among many other places made the game fascinating to play and made the game have depth and substance that this was more of a world and not a storyline. Factions has very little, and for the most part... none of this.
In Factions can you can't go out and explore to find new and exciting things, there are a few cool things hidden in the Jade, but nothing out of the way, nothing of the Gwen substance. Heck, now you can't even enter towns unless you have the appropriate quest. It saddens me because this is what I liked as well as many other people. I mean all along we knew what titans looked like, because the Charr worshipped them as gods and made statues of them. And then later you could come back and truely appreciate the scenery as not just a decorative use but actually having a reason and substance behind them.
This post is for every time a person has wondered about a Tapestry Shred, everytime a new player recognizes that a Burning Titan is a charr god, and for those who have visited Rotscale before he got a green, or has explored to the end of the Falls and every time someone has cleared the underworld or fissure of woe. This is for the way things used to be.
